For many years my husband and I have shared our home with dogs.  During those years I have dealt with many vet offices.   There is none finer than Lake Square Animal Hospital in Leesburg Florida!!!  The hospital itself is attractive, comfortable and well equipped.  Dr. Gunderson is a topnotch vet.   His considerable medical skills coupled with a true love for animals plus caring and concern for human pet owners is a recipe for extraordinary vet care.   Dr. Gunderson has also carefully chosen his staff.  I have never met kinder or more caring vet assistants and office staff!  We live in Florida for about 6 months of the year and during that time our dogs are cared for exclusively at Lake Square.  In well over ten years of dealing with this veterinary practice we have never had one single complaint!

As clients with high standards in health care, we were thrilled to have found Dr. Gunderson. He is the most caring, loving, and skilled Dr. I know. Being extremely committed to his clients, he always goes above and beyond the general duties. We receive personal phone calls directly from him with follow up information or to answer our questions. One occasion that stands out for me is the time our dog contracted the parvo virus, she was in critical condition. Dr. G took her home with him over the weekend for urgent care monitoring. He is the best doctor. I wish all of my medical doctor were of this caliber.

The same goes for the staff! They are always friendly, accommodating, and have wonderful customer service skills. The girls go out of their way to make you feel welcome and part of the clinic family. You can tell they genuinely love animals. I couldn’t be happier with the overall experience at Lake Sq. Animal Hospital!

We moved from Key West in November 1998. We were concerned about finding a new doctor for our birds, dogs, and cats. We left a three lady veterinarian practice, who were very good and always there for us. Dr. Gunderson has surpassed all three!

We found Lake Square Animal Hospital in the phone book and were able to get an appointment right away. We were impressed with his staff, the cleanliness of the hospital, and Dr. Gunderson’s professionalism. We knew we had found the best, after one visit.

His girls always find a way to work us in if one of our pets needs care. The day after a yearly physical and vaccinations, a staff member called to check on the condition of our pet. Dr. Gunderson called to explain the lab results and to answer our questions. We appreciate these calls. Dr. Gunderson has even taken some of our very ill pets home at night to care for them.

He has been our doctor for almost 14 yrs and has been with us through the good times and the sad times. Thank you Dr. Gunderson and staff.
